Work Performed Last Week, June 11th to June 15th
·         Underground utility work completed.
·         Completed storm sewer installation
·         Installed storm sewer services
·         Abandoned or removed old water valves and fire hydrants.
·         Abandoned old storm sewer mainline pipe.

Work Anticipated to be performed next week, June 18th to June 22nd
·         Remove concrete curb & gutter, sidewalks, and driveways on the east / south side of Blackthorn Drive from Silverwillow Drive to Sequoia Trail. Temporary access will be provided to driveways until concrete is poured.
·         Excavate spoils and prepare base materials for concrete curb & gutter, sidewalks, and driveways on west / north side of Blackthorn Drive from SIlverwillow Drive to Sequoia Trail.
·         Pour concrete curb & gutter, sidewalks, and driveways on west / north side of Blackthorn Drive.

The underground utility improvement phase of the project is now completed. The contractor has moved into the roadway rehabilitation phase.

The contractor will be removing and pouring the concrete curb & gutter, sidewalk, and driveways on the north / west side of Blackthorn Drive this week. Depending on weather and work progress, we are hoping all residents without driveway access will have it restored by the weekend.  Once the concrete is poured, it will need to cure for approximately 4 days prior to allowing vehicles to drive over it.  In cases where concrete curb & gutter, sidewalk, and driveways are being replaced at the same home, the period without driveway access may be extended.

Once the driveways on the north / west side of Blackthorn Drive are replaced and access is restored, the concrete curb & gutter, sidewalks, and driveways will be replaced on the south / east side of Blackthorn Drive.

We do understand the inconvenience that comes with being out of your driveway for an extended period of time. Please understand we will do everything to reduce the amount of time out are out of your driveways to the greatest extent possible.  Thanks again for all your patience and understanding.
